I was fortunate enough to fly out to Chicago for this year's FNCE. The opportunities to network and learn about advancements and hot topics in the nutrition field could not be beat. Over the four day conference I was able to sit in on discussions varying in topics from media influence on healthcare, the gut microbiome, skeletal muscle protein, the history of Chicago and it's ties to food related technology, cultivating an online presence, to Agriculture.Though most of my time was spent in the conference center, I made sure to have time to explore the city and indulge in deep dish pizza.

educational. It provided great insight to various companies and programs that are taking strides to improve their products and provide better nutrition to their consumers. Some of these companies included Frito Lay, KIND, Siggis, The National Dairy Council, Banza, Nabisco, and many more. It was also neat to be able to taste the products. Despite the vast educational opportunities, my favorite part of the conference was the Ocean Spray cranberry bog pictured alongside this post. It was something I didn't even know I wanted to cross off my bucket-list.
